This camera is part of a [network](https://sunnydayflooding.com/) of sensors deployed on land to understand the frequency and causes of coastal floods, particularly those that occur outside of extreme events like hurricanes. The cameras are located in flood hotspots identified by community members. Flood imagery and co-located water level measurements are used to identify flooded roadways for risk communication and to validate numerical models that can be used to test flood mitigation strategies desired by communities.
